PRESENTATION

ST. ANDRE PAPER MILL S.A. started its operation in 1936. In 1948 was nationalized and by the end of 1993 was privatized with Zeritis 100% owner.
The land of the Mill is 100.000 m2 with inside railway connection, facing the river Danube with a small old harbor.

The industrial buildings are covering 25.000 m2 and the offices and services 2.000 m2. Part of the land is used for sporting facilities and the rest is available for expansion. The Mill is producing annually 14.000 tons of specialty papers in two paper machines. PM 1 is 2,1 m wide/ Fourdrinier producing 8.000 T/Y from 60- 150 gr./m2 at speed up to 150 m/min. and PM 2 is 2,1 m wide Combined Yankee/ Fourdrinier producing 6.000 T/Y from 25- 60 gr./m2 at speeds up to 150 m/min.

Because of the small size of the machines the Mill is very flexible and it has a huge know how on specialty papers where it is successful. The Mill is operating mainly with local waste paper and small quantities 20% of pulp. The produced paper is processed in the finishing department in the form of rolls and sheets of various sizes. The Mill is also purchasing some paper to cover special needs from Piszkei, Thrace Paper Mill S.A. and others.

The converting Plant
